This is the second in a series of digital portrait paintings I plan to do over time involving other members of thatguywiththeglasses.com.
This one looks better than the Linkara one, but I still have some suggestions. The hair's looking good, but the shirt and face are suffering from a lack of depth. If you want to retouch this one, I'd go back in and darken up parts of the shirt around the armpits and the collars to really separate it from the rest of the shirt. Some crosshatching on the shirt can also add to suggesting that it is made of fabric. Also, be sure to take another look at the face and render the eye sockets some more. The eyeballs and forehead looks fine, but the lower section of the eyes need some definition in order to make it seem like he has a skull underneath his skin. And watch out for those gradients in the background, everything else looks fine, but why ruin a good hand painted piece with something your computer can up with? Brush it up.
They are just a fun, silly, little digital thing you can collect and send to people. the more you have the fancier your personal llama badge gets, thats all they're for as far as I can tell. a lot of people like to collect them so whenever someone s my art or something like that I like to give them one
